Wahine Wednesday – Free SUP lessons in Cape Town, Muizenberg .

Every Wednesday morning, Xpression on the Beach has free SUP lessons for ladies in Cape Town at the XOTB shop on Muizenberg beach front. This is a great opportunity for ladies who are beginners, or even for those who just to get out for a social paddle.

On a beautiful Wednesday morning in Muizenberg…

12 Wahines’ braved the 3 foot waves to conquer their fears and learn to SUP, with Xpression on the Beach .

Wahine is the Hawaain word for a girl , woman or wife.

The  excited Wahines’ jumped into wetsuits and headed to the beach to choose a board and paddle  .

After some tips on technique and safety from Coach Kim, the girls headed out to the waves assisted by Coach Shani.

Lynn the Brave, charged straight out to the back on the Coreban Karma, and claimed the bomb of the day!  Nicole was styling on the waves, on the Coreban Bomb. Rhonnie was a superhero and made it to the backline laughing all the way.

Ingrid and Amy riding every wave to the beach, while taking photos of the girls.  Justine, Laeticia, Elza, Jenny, Nicky, Gill, Lizelle, Ingrid 2 and Nicole 2  all had a ball in the waves .
