Elite levels of fitness, core strength, and a lifetime of water sports experience is not a requirement. This is one sport that anyone can learn within 15 minutes of coaching.
Within an hour you’ll be hooked and wanting more.
Use it as an opportunity to cruise and relax and unwind from the tensions of daily life. Or up the intensity and make it a workout. With this amazing form of fitness you’ll never think of gym again. One lap of the canal is 1.1km and many of the Wahines set themselves goals of 5 or 6 laps within the hour. SUP for an hour and you’ll experience a total body workout, a tan and lots of fun. Bring friends and make new ones.
The SUP Session is usually on a Wednesday – only torrential rain and exceptionally strong winds will stop us and cause us to change the day.
We run one hour sessions at 7.30am and another at 9am.
R200 for board hire and coaching. Booking is essential.
When the conditions are suitable for fun, the Ocean Wahines cruise on the warm Indian Ocean.
